Extracted Xenotransplantation Percentage is the energy given off by Pokémon when they lose a battle.  This energy is absorbed by the victorious Pokémon, which allows them to become stronger and evolve. This energy also affects their attacks and abilities; even when a Pokémon lacks this energy, they can still walk and fly and do normal tasks, but cannot use their attacks, since this energy makes the attacks non-lethal, which is how humans can survive being electrocuted by Pikachu or burned by Charizard.

Ersatz Vitamine is a second type of energy released by Pokémon when they lose a battle.  This energy comes in six different varities: Nutrire, Taurine, Bromhexine, Lysozyme, Chitosan and Indometacin. This energy can also be manufactured by humans, resulting in the vitamins known as Health Up, Protein, Iron, Calcium, Zinc, and Carbos. However, a Pokémon can only absorb a maximum of 510 Ersatz Vitamine and only a maximum of 255 of a particular Vitamine. A Vitamin provides ten of that particular Vitamine.

In addition, there is a third aspect of energy known as Potentia. It is this energy that is directly consumed when a Pokémon attacks, and what makes these attacks non-lethal. Depending on how powerful the attack is, it can only be used a certain number of times before the Pokémon must be allowed to rest. There are manufactured items known as Potentia Producen, which allows a Pokémon to permentantly use an attack more often. When a Pokémon Potentia is depleted, they can use a naturally occurring element known as Ether or a manufactured item known as Elixir to recover.

Lastly, Pokémon are more adept at natural courses than human intervention. Only a limited amount of vitamins, ten to be precise, can be used on a Pokémon and only three Potentia Producen can be used before their bodies reject them.
